Club Lloyds monthly pay in question

Hi, I've been trying to find a clear answer to my question, but so far have not been able to do so!

I have had a normal Lloyds account for a few years, while my partner has a Club Lloyds account. I want to switch mine to Club Lloyds as well to get better interest rates, but I am unsure about the £1500 pay in requirement.

I don't earn enough to meet this criteria, so I was wondering if it would be okay to top up my wages coming in with money from a different account? Will they accept this?

So it would be 2 separate payments coming in:
- wages paid in
- transfer of extra money from a different account

Would this be ok so I don't have to pay the fee? Or will they only accept one payment?
I hope someone knows the answer! :)

It does not have to be £1500 in one payment. It could be £1000 + £500, £500 x 3 etc

transfer from other lloyds accounts (in your name) will not count though ...

Will it count if it is from a TSB account in my name? Or does it have to be a different name?
  • Yeh that'll be fine

I was hoping mt99 would provide a link to support his/her assertion in post 4.

I can see nothing in the T&C which supports it.

As ever, what is not said in T&Cs is as important as what is said.

I will try and find a link when I get home tonight but I'm pretty sure that if you for example transfered 1000 from your Lloyds saver into your current account and then back from the current account into the saver then it would not count as pay in ditto if you transferred it from current account 1 to current account 2 etc

There's always a delay between the debit and cancelling credit. Check again in an hour or two.
