Lol..........sounds like husband is like me. Has gone off piste and bought what he wanted, sod the costs you were factoring in.

We needed a decent 3.5 tonne tow car (not many about) and ended up with a Jeep Commander £500+ VED 25mpg (16mpg when towing). The Panda gets used an awful lot.0 -

Surprisingly, the Superb cost us £500 per month based on owning if for 3 years. This is high due to its depreciation, having bought it new. This is forming a large part of DH's reasoning.
Having now driven the Mercedes, nice as it is (It's the Elegance spec) I shall be sticking to driving my Mini.0
