You seem a very angry young man and it's a phase that all university students go through. Questioning everything and everyone. That's healthy and as it should be. But with age and experience we gradually get a more realistic approach to all the things that life presents. I wish you well.0

The trouble with the Streetwise Ratchet System is the deceit they use in their marketing. Firstly they make no mention of the fact that it is used to bet on horse races and also that it requires opening numerous on-line accounts with bookmakers. Which also costs money. Many people are averse to opening accounts with bookmakers. And many people prefer not to bet on horse racing. And they have every right to make that decision. Indeed you could say that their human right is being infringed if they are not allowed to express their dislike of horse racing and betting.
Now this wouldn't be a problem if Streetwise honoured their money back guarantee. But when people receive the Ratchet System and realise that it's not something they feel comfortable with Streetwise suddenly insist that customers have to use the system for 90 days before they can apply for a refund. Outrageous isn't it?
The other issue with The Ratchet System is that it is a staking system using Arbitration and Dutching which is well known and freely available on the internet.
I could go on but the crux of the matter is that Streetwise misled customers by not stating the Terms and Conditions of the sale and the money back guarantee and by doing so are holding on to customers money without their consent. And £497 is a considerable sum of money for each customer to be denied access to by this deception.
Those who paid by credit card will have protection because money has been taken under false pretences. But those who paid by cheque or debit card have to do without their money for 3 months and hope that Streetwise does return it.
All in all it's an unacceptable way for an information seller to behave.0 -

I'll bear all that in mind grandad!
Just as an aside, you mention 'arbitration' a couple of times which my admittedly juvenille knowledge tells me is the settlement of a dispute by means of a mediator. Perhaps you're referring to arbitrage, which is something else altogether. Unless they've started choosing the winner of a horse race by means of committee or something.0 -
Assuming you are aware what a dictionary is I suggest you look up the words. You're a fine example of a generation that hasn't received any education.0

Can I be the first to ask you both to take the petty bickering and insults to PM?0

Sorry googler, you are probably aware that that was the first posting I have made that was in any way petty. But it was so exasperating to see yet another example of a member of a generation betrayed by the system. I don't tend to use forums much at all mainly due to the holier than thou posts made by people such as yourself and the plainly ignorant posts by our friend Richie35. There is no need to respond as I am logging out of this forum and going back to the real world where, it would seem, fewer and fewer people appear to dwell.
Good luck with your policing of the forums but I would respectfully advise that you should get out more.
And I apologise most sincerely for the pettiness of my post, I hope you haven't been too traumatised by it. I have no idea who PM is.0 -

You're in luck for once, because I have dictionary to hand. I shall quote from it:
Arbitration: Settlement of a dispute by someone appointed to hear both sides and come to a decision.
Arbitrage: Attempting to profit by exploiting differences of identical or similar financial instruments, on different markets or in different forms.
I'd have thought an educated fellow like you would have known that.
No need to apologise. I'll take it as read.0
