carer classed as employed?

hi, I am full time carer to my spouse, when applying for credit etc, would I be able to put that I am employed? doesn't seem right to say unemployed,

No you are not employed. You do not receive a wage it’s voluntary therefore you are unemployed or carer if they have that choice.

I usually put homemaker or housewife. It tends to avoid you being downgraded as you are when you tick unemployed.

When I fill in insurance forms I usually put houseperson. I think that covers a multitude of situations when you don't do a paid job.

It is particularly important to represent yourself accurately when applying for things like credit and you should not say that you are employed when you are not.

OP they will be more interested in 1) your income 2) your ability to repay 3) your credit history (not credit score that means nothing)
