TomTom Rider Missing parts

Hi all,
Can anyone offer any help where I stand with this one while I await a reply from where I purchased my satnav device.

I purchased a TomTom Rider motorcycle satnav on 23/11/2016 from an online supplier, and the charging base (which mounts onto the handlebar) failed in July this year.

I was asked to return everything for a warranty repair, so I duly boxed it up in its original box with all the accessories (a special charging connector lead, handlebar mount etc) included.

After approx. 7 weeks (TomTom were awaiting parts apparently!) it was returned to me, but not in its original box and no accessories. It was basically just the unit in its original plastic packaging and the charging base in a small bag.
These items were just rattling around in an oversized box.

There were no connecting leads or handlebar mount included in the box, and the original box had also disappeared.

It is basically unfit for purpose as I can neither mount the unit on my motorcycle nor connect it up to use it.

The place where I purchased it from have basically said they cannot locate the parts in the returns warehouse (and so are probably somewhere at the TomTom repair centre), and that is where it is left.

Where do I stand?

Thanks

Did you do the warranty repair via the seller or direct with TomTom?

If via the seller then complain to them and demand either the missing parts OR an equivalent replacement unit (with all the accessories).

You may need to do this in writing so you have an audit trail should you need to raise a court claim later down the line.
  • Thanks for the reply.

The warranty claim was via the seller, they forwarded it onto TomTom.

We have an on-going case reference thread (which was created for the original warranty returns), and this is getting added to with regards to the missing components.

    Thanks
