What type of boiler do I have?

Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help? I recently bought a house and have been told that the boiler is in the chimney.
I am on a low income and may be entitled to a new boiler free or at a reduced rate from energy companies if my boiler is inefficient.
My question is, if my boiler is in the chimney breast how can I find out what type of boiler it is without paying a fortune for someone to remove the fire and check?
Previous occupier sadly died so I can't ask them.
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a gas fired back-boiler.
I'd be surprised if it didn't qualify, it won't be the most efficient.
I doubt you need to know the exact model, If you apply for a new boiler someone will have to come round and check you're entitled, and they'd be able to figure it out.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). If it’s an old Baxi Bermuda, the panel underneath the radiants flips down, revealing the boiler controls etc.0
