Saving for Christmas is always a good idea. £10 a week would make a generous Christmas, particularly when combined with other things like nectar point, boots advantage and Tesco clubcard. This year I have got an Iceland bonus card. £2 added on every time you save £20. They also do short term offers. Very easy to save on. Will be using it to get some Christmas treats.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Thank you for all the advice! I think on going to start a new thread for the Christmas savings as I can't change this one. I have emailed MSE so I'll see if they can do it, if not I shall do a new one! Still can't believe this is in the email!
