Tado smart thermostat?

I just saw a add on facebook, sign up with Green Star Energy and get a free Tado thermostat.
I googled it, £200

My thermostat is not as good as my old one, only does a one hour boost. A smart phone controlled thermostat sounds good, free. Too good to be true?
It might be good for someone, I am in a energy contract for another 18 months.

  • Tado is a good system, but check their website as they often do deals.
But to be honest any smart thermostat will be a huge improvement
We have used nest for the last 3 years and love it.
Hive is also a good system.
Just make sure that FREE really is free, no point if you get screwed on the tariff
Scrimping the nuts out of life since 2006!

You have to sign up for a 3 year fixed tariff, never looked at the figures but it may not be the cheapest on the market so you would possibly be paying more for the thermostat over the 3 years.
