I usually need a bottle of this for my MOT. Normally pay £14+ a bottle. But this is on sale for ridiculous amounts with their coupon code.

SAVE33 coupon brings it down to £7.36. This must be lower than the trade price. Unbelievable.

    Unbelievable.

I don't know about the price, but the claims certainly are.

In fairness, i had a Clio 172 failed its MOT on emissions, ran a bottle of this through it and it passed.

    Very positive reviews on Amazon...

So it reduced your emissions and that had nothing to do with the fact you gave it a bit of a thrashing after you put the stuff in.....

If you look at the active ingredient you'll find it is the same as the active ingredient in any of this snake oil on the shelf that claims to cure everything from dirty injectors to EGR valves to catalytic converters. For diesels you'll find that EGR valve cleaners, fuel system cleaners and DPF filter cleaners all share one common main ingredient - kerosine. You'd do as well just shoving half a litre of kerosine in the fuel tank.

Take a sensor out and see how dirty it is, pop some cleaner in the tank and drive normally not using extra revs etc and then remove it to see if it really is any cleaner.

A lot of the cleaners used to state drive at higher than normal revs etc which actually did more cleaning than any chemical could.

Same when popping a car on a rolling road, the first run is uaully a lower power than subsequent runs because it gets a good thrash and the ECU makes small adjustments.
