Tapi Carpet Quote - Are they any good?

Hi all,
We visited the Tapi showroom in Tottenham Court Rd last week and spoke to a gentleman about fitting out our new home in Loughton near Epping. He estimated we would need around 90 sqm of carpet for three bedrooms, one large loft room, two stairwells and a smallish landing (sizes at bottom of my email. I tend to think it would be more like 80sqm personally…).
Saxony carpet - Amazon Gurupa Aspire Collection (100% polypropylene). Ideal for heavy use.
We are thinking about the above carpet at £19.99 per sqm. We’d like something semi luxurious, soft and easily cleanable and apparently the Saxony range fits the bill in that respect whilst also providing a bit of underfloor heating. Easily bleachable in case you get stains and moths won’t attack it. It’s available in 2m up to 5m rolls which also helps apparently.
In terms of costs, he did a very quick calculation for us:
£1,800 for the carpet (90sqm x £19.99)
£765 underlay (‘Bliss’ for rooms, ‘Endurance’ for stairs)
£90 gripper
£138 premium door bars (we chose these)
£30 delivery
£775 fitting
£585 uplift and disposal (said this was optional of course)
TOTAL = £4,183
Just wanted to know what people thought about A) our choice of carpet and whether there are better alternatives and
the price we’ve been quoted as it seems quite pricey, especially the labour costs (said it would probably be done in one day by two guys). Also if Tapi are any good of course. They seem to have good reviews on things like Trustpilot.
Thank you in advance!
Dan
Here are those sizes:
Bedroom 1 – 3.6m x 2.8m
Bedroom 2 – 4.2m x 2.6m
Bedroom 3 – 2.7m x 2.6m
Loft room – 6.4m x 5m
Plus two stairwells and a smallish landing

For £20 sq m I'd be looking for heavy duty 80:20 wool mix and that would be a fully fitted price.
Good wool mix carpet can be cleaned easily with carpet shampoo.
I'm sure your local area has independent carpet stores - find one and take advantage of their knowledge.0 -
Tapi is a fairly new venture by people from the Carpetright family. One thing that puts me off is the fact that there is never anyone in our local store. The other is that local independents that have been trading for decades are cheaper.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Thanks, both. £4,000 seemed like a lot to me but there Trustpilot score is very good so maybe a lot of people are not concerned about cost. I will try independents as well, if anyone can recommend any in the Epping area I'd gladly give them a call!0
