Morning everyone,
Dry and reasonably bright here, nice to see the sun. The WM is on and hopefully most of it will dry outside or can be finished in the airing cupboard.
Lulu and I have a lesson this morning, she thoroughly enjoyed her massage yesterday and the only problem the physio found was in the big muscle behind her rib cage, probably from an ill fitting saddle in the past. She worked on it and you could see Lulu really relaxing, it will be interesting to see if there is much difference this morning.
I did enjoy GBBO but know what you mean Camelot it felt a bit of an anticlimax in the end, perhaps it's all the flippin ad breaks
Thoughts are with all going through tough times x
Have a good day folks x0 -
Morning ((((((((((Hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Dumpling, I hope the powers that be can sort something out to help Becky, the strain on all of you is not good.
Its warm this morning, have turned the heating off, I turned it on yesterday afternoon it was so cold.
Coffee morning at the little chapel this morning, I am hoping that my neighbour B will come, she said she would, but she could change her mind at the last minute. Bag is hanging on the front door handle so I do not forget it. I also finished the bowl cosy yesterday, its turned out okish, I do need to sort out some better wadding though.
Hope you enjoy your weekend 'away' Hester, sounds like a plan to me.
Sausage and mash tonight with baked beans.0 -
Ahhhhh. Just lost my post.
In short - returned from Spain last night. Weather was in the late 20's. Drank beer, ate good food and read books.
It's raining in Glasgow.
Camelot - I thought it transitioned over to Chanel 4 very well actually. Although I do miss Mary Berry.0 -
Good morning
camelot last nights GBBO was a complete anti climax for me after Pru leith decided to give away the winner on twitter in the morning. I really hope they rethink her job now as that spoilt the show for many people I imagine
I had lots of lovely kids round last night ...all very polite and dressed up fabulously. I ended up having to give away my bags of crisps when I ran out of sweets which seemed to go down well and is probably better for me not to have them in the cupboard
Big to do list to tackle today mostly work related but also some housey stuff like washing and DW. Im away again this weekend so need to keep on top of the house.
Food wise i will have the beef baguette from yesterday for lunch then something with beans for dinner as I have half a tin open in the fridge
Have a great day all :A0 -
Another one here who felt GBBO wasn't quite the same. They seemed to be trying a bit too hard - every challenge was said to be the trickiest ever given on BO. I felt that the time given on some of the technicals wasn't long enough to get the bakes right, the final being a case in point.0

Morning all,
We didnt have any trick or treaters last night but then again there arent any children living nearby. We used to get a lot where we lived before.
Apparently DGS was fast asleep at 6.30 after a busy day at nursery school,we'll pick him up from school later.
I have the house to myself,a very unusual occurence.DS1 is away and DH and DS2 are putting a new window in at his house/refurb. I have been taking the opportunity to have a deep clean, done the bathroom and DS1s room, and the attic room.DH did a tip run yesterday so it's not quite as cluttered up there. Just downstairs mainly but I might not blitz that till tomorrow as the DGC will be here later.
I think I'm doing tater hash for tea so thats easy
Hope you all have a good day.Speky glad you enjoyed your Spanish sun &:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all,
we arrived back from our break in Devon last night. Fortunately, the weather had been good which meant plenty of beach walks for the hounds and long rides in the 'Ute' and a spot of 'offroading' too on Davidstow Moor which was a lot of fun and scarey at the same time. We made friends with a few wild ponies and sheep. They didnt seem to mind us being there in the slightest but the military were using the derelict control tower with real guns and told us not to go any further. Nope we werent about to argue about it being common ground and didnt want to become target practice so we moved on. We met a few members of the microlight club that uses one of the runways.... Rather them than me!
'Adonis' was still there. He was a bit quiet, he's got a few health issues going on at the moment but he's doing well.
News from South Africa threw me a bit. My daughter and her partner are adopting another child. A little girl with Downs Syndrome. Its not been announced yet but i think its safe to share with you. I'm concerned they have taken on too much. 3 children with complex health issues. One with Fetal alcohol syndome Disorder, one with Cerebral Palsy and is HIV+ and this little girl has Downs Syndrome. I just worry that what with fund raising for the the baby house they are taking on too much to enjoy life. Still, my daughter seems to grow in strength and character. She did a speech in front of 300 people a few days ago. She sent me a video of it. I am so proud of her.
Home, came home to a sink full of washing up. Bathroom had been used and not cleaned since we went away and a great big sticky syrupy mark on my new kitchen floor that wont go away. Grump(less) is fuming! I'm not very pleased either.:(
Need to fit in shopping some time, Grump(less) is spending the day with his new toy. Fitting dog guards and generally messing around with it which pleases me as i need a little space.
I havent been able to catch up on your news whilst i was away. I had data issues... or lack of it.:o I will catch up on your news today.
Onwards and forwards,

I need to go and do library volunteering this afternoon so just going to wash my hair and get changed.
Made small pancakes with bacon this morning and need to pop into gp and get prescriptions so need to get a move on. Daren't put the washing outside so will need to drape it round the house tonight.
A charity bag with books in has just been collected from the doorstep, dishwasher has been unloaded and reloaded and clean tumblers etc have all been put in the cupboards.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Welcome back Judi - glad to read that your holiday went well. And to Speky too.
Dumpling - hope things get sorted soon before the pressure gets too great.
Another day of work related difficulties for me, seems to be the week for it. Perhaps now that I'm done until next week things will go better. I've sent my last work email, put away work papers and brought out a novel. I need to relax though I've got a hint that ex-OH may turn up today or tomorrow, something I can well do without.
I called into the local shops on the way home to do a little bit of shopping for bread and milk etc. Nothing too much. I've lit the woodburner and am going to sit and read.0
