Just Google the name of the regulation.0 -
I think I need to know if it applied to a holiday home site in Scotland when head office is in England before I go looking through the doc, any ideas?0

Well, the English site rules are largely based on the Scottish ones which has been in force for some time before the introduction of the English site rules. I believe they are contained in the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 under Part 6 and have been amended from time to time so you might need to scrutinise the Scottish provisions more closely as some might be different to the English ones in the way they have been worded.
Its not allowing me to post links but if you google them then you should find them quite easily.
You need to find out what laws are governed by the contract. It might be that the as the site is in Scotland then the Housing Act will apply - check the contract for jurisdiction or governing law0 -
I think it’s worth you signing up to a static caravan forum, better to know all the pitfalls before you sign up imho.blinky2134 wrote: »Great, thanks for that! I was a bit worried that if I sign I will be bound by it. Hopefully it won’t be an issue as we intend to keep the caravan till the tenure runs out in 8 years, then we need to either get the van moved offsite or ‘upgrade’ to a new van!

Yeah it’s not trivial and the park themselves need to do it. Tbh after the 8 years the van won’t be worth much and we know it’s around £1000 to get it moved0

Static caravans on a holiday site are not Mobile Homes, which are for permanent living, so the 2014 Act will not apply. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

You can modify the contract however you wish, or strike out a clause: however the other party may not then accept it.
If you sign it, then of course you are bound by it, unless you can prove that the contract is unfair or unenforceable. No free lunch, and no free laptop

This also refers to residential mobile homes rather than static holiday caravansIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
