5 parking tickets in Medway

Hi everyone.
I have been parking on a road in Medway for a while now and have never had an issue with it. There have never been signs declaring it as a permit zone or any restrictions.
However, I checked on my car yesterday and noticed that the area seemed much emptier than usual. I found five Penalty Charge tickets on my car dated on:
24:10;17
25/10/17
26/09/17
27/09/17
29/09/17.
All with the contravention code being '01 Parking in a restricted zone during prescribed hours'.
I had left my car for 5 days, hence so many tickets. No new signs had been put up.
I have looked online for information of parking zone changes and there is nothing online stating its been changed.
I was parked on an area near some yellow lines, however it is always full up and there are no signs stating I cant park there.
What grounds do i have to appeal?

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work) and post a new thread; here's your link:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30
Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
