I have tried to setup ebanking with Northern Bank but I am running into a problem.
In the field that states user ID I input the ID that was given to me by the bank, in the password field I input the 4 digit code that was sent out to me. The system tells me the password has to be at least 8 digits long, does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

The 8 character password should be one that you have made up yourself shaz. Have you tried clicking on "FIRST LOGON" on the left hand side of that page im assuming your looking at?now im back in the ring to take another swing0

Sounds like you are using your pin instead of your password, as skorpio says you must go through the"first login" stageDave0 -
This happened to me when I tried to use it at my work. It turned out that the program wasnt downloaded and in fact I wasnt able to download it, so make sure the relevant software has been downloaded. Good luck0

Thanks for the responses.
I have searched the homepage on the Northern website but I cannot find the link for 'logon new user' where exactly on the screen is this link?
Thanks in advance.0 -
From the NB home page go to logon at the top left, adrop down menu will appear click on ebanking, this will open another page and first logon is second from the top on the left hand side.Dave0

Hi Dave
I followed your instructions but once I selected ebanking it brought me to this page in which there is no 'first logon' option.

Try this one Shaz

It may be that it thinks you have already completed the first log in stage.Dave0 -
Dave
Tried the link you supplied but it seems to be taking me to the same page as the one on the link that I supplied in post 7.0 -
Sorry Shaz it's still is ok on mine, are you using Vista? Have you tried using another computer? Did the security program load? you have to "allow" this in xp but I am not sure about vista.Dave0

Plus, it seems to only work in IE, not Firefox. Good old NB, useless as ever...0
