Advice on parking ticket?

Hi
On the 4th August 2017 I parked in the car park of (what I believed to be) the Didsbury Pub 852 Wilmslow Road, Manchester M20 2SG. As I beleived the car park was for the pub I never imagined you would have to pay to park. When i returned from eating about an hour and a half later I had a parking charge notice of £85 stuck to the window.
I then had a look around he car park and noticed some small signs in far off corners of the car park and a couple of other signs I hadn't noticed when i'd arrived and left the car. the main sign they have as you leave was in fact partially hidden by a tree. I took some photos at the time of how unnoticeable some but not all of the signs were.
After a bit of googling I decided I would simply ignore and not pay this charge as I feel it's totally unjust through the inadequate signage and the inflated cost of the ticket itself. The militant approach as you describe!
I received a reminder letter on the 6th September which i understand means i have now missed the time where i could have disputed this charge through POPLA?
I have now received a letter from Debt Recovery limited asking me to pay £145.
So i'm wondering what I am best doing now if you can assist?
Thanks in advance

Read post #4 of the NEWBIES thread about ignoring DRPlus.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
as above , IGNORE drp
which parking company issued the charge ?0 -
The parking ticket company is 'Local parking security ltd' I've checked and I believe they are registered with BPA0

Hi
Thanks, yes I'd already read the newbies thread and was aware that I ignore the debt recovery plus letter. I was just explaining where things were at with at with my case and more generally what I should do now considering i'd missed the first suggested time window to start an appeal.

that is the problem, you are looking for an option that isnt available to you
sometimes its sit on your hands and do nothing
the time to act was in september , too late for that so the PPC has 6 years to try a court claim0 -

Ahh ok so its just continue with the 'Militant approach' now then?
Or should i reply to them and say I will not be paying the charge under any circumstances, as is my intention?0 -
do that if it makes you feel better, they wont care , might not read it and if they do will tell you its in the hands of the debt collectors and to contact them
its banging your head against a wall, no matter if you contact DRP or the PPC
when you get tired of running round in circles at the end of their puppet strings , IGNORE anything except an LBC or an MCOL , which they have 6 years to issue at one of the 2 centres (probably MCOL in Northampton CCBC)
AFTER 6 YEARS ITS STATUTE BARRED, but still remains an alleged debt on file0 -

Ok great thanks for your help. That's settled, silence from me then, the Militant approach it is0
