When we got our leather 3 seat and 2 seat sofas 12 years ago we were initially slightly disappointed as we scrutinised every panel, noted all the marks but failed to grasp that leather is a natural product. Bought in the (perpetual) sale but was decent quality.
Its been absolutely great and has lasted extremely well - kids were 5 and 7 when we got it so its had some hammer over the years.
My wife started using some leather wipes every now and then and I can tell as I slide off the seat for a day or so afterwards! but its still looking almost new.
Friends bought a cheap leather sofa and its absolutely rubbish as has lasted them less that 4 years.
So, I initially regretted the decision but soon reversed my opinion and would definitely buy again but I wouldn't buy cheap if its for everyday use.0 -
We have Duresta 'Spitfire' leather sofas and armchair. I'm very impressed with them and after two and a half years are still looking good (as they should).0

Avoid 'bonded leather' at all costs. The paper thin coating will peel off, often within 18 months, and look very unsightly. A disgraceful and misleading product.0
