Waiting for a PIP decision

I was hoping if anyone has been in a similar situation they can give me an idea of the wait they had for a decision on a PIP claim.
DH applied for PIP back in July and had a home assessment in August. The person that came out said if we didn't hear anything by 3rd November to give them a call as that was the deadline for them to make a decision. We received a letter on the 29th September to say they now had all the information they needed to make a decision on the claim, so I assumed it wouldn't be too much longer before we heard what the outcome was. I called them on the 20th October for an update and was told a decision still hadn't been made so I requested a copy of the report be sent out which they said would take 7 - 10 days. I'm assuming by the fact the report still hasn't arrived they meant 7 - 10 working days? So hopefully that will arrive by the end of the week and may give an indication as to what way the decision will go.
Does anyone have any experience of length of the length of time for a decision once they've received such a letter ?

There's no time scales really. It depends on the backlog in your area and by the sounds of it there's quite a back log where you are.
I'd ring them again tomorrow to check they've sent that report, it's possible they haven't. Other than that there's nothing you can do but wait for a decision. Good luck.0
