A friend has recently died. He left a wife and one grown-up son in his 20's from a previous marriage. The wife is the Executor and the son is apparently a beneficiary. The house was solely in my friend's name and had no mortgage. The son has been told by his grandmother that she believed a will had been drawn up leaving a quarter of the property to the wife and three quarters to the son. The wife is not letting the son see the will, tell him what is going on or be involved in any of the financial arrangements. Does she have a right to do this or is the son entitled to see a copy of the will? Thank you.

It is £10 to download a copy of the will and probate from here: https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#willsMalcnascar wrote: »Only the executors appointed in a will are entitled to see the will before probate is granted. Once probate is granted it becomes a public document0
