Hi all - I am a new member of this forum. I have money that i am considering investing with 'the access bank uk' in a 1 year fixed price bond at a return of 1.85%.
Is the company protected like any other high street bank and are there any 'small print' conditions that I should be aware of.
Also, Martin Lewis only yesterday on the Morning programme stated that the best 1 yr fixed bond on the market was Atom @ 1.8% - He did not mention the access bank@ 1.85%
Please can you help - thanks in anticipation

I did a quick google and found a website appearing to match your description. It seems to be based in Africa or have much of it's business there.
However there was no mention of any account offering a rate that you quoted, do you have any more info? Are you sure it's actually a bank account not an investment?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Or just some dodgy web site that claims to be UK basedEx forum ambassador

Based in Norwich apparently.
They are protected by FSCS up to £85k
However, I can't see any 1.85% bonds... Their 90 day account pays 0.3%

"The Access Bank UK Limited" are FSCS protected - states on their above site and I quickly doubled checked on the FSCS site too.0 -
Al Rayan bank has a 1.86% 'expected profit' 12 month fix, covered by FSCS.
