UK Passport Renewal

Does it always take 3 weeks for the renewal to come back to you?
I sent mine off for renewal on the 26th October, before realising I have a flight in two weekends time, so it could be tight!
HM office just emailed to say:
"We’ve checked your passport application and everything is fine.
What happens next
We print your new passport then send it to you. This will happen in the next day.
We’ll email you when we post it."
It will be a week since I sent it on Thursday, so if they do print it and post in the next couple of days it may not take the full 3 weeks? Has anyone had theirs sooner than 3 weeks before (other than asking for urgent ones) ?

Thats pretty good! Hopefully at this time of the year they are not busy.
The next line has given me optimism, but not sure if they mean literally in one day?

Depends when you apply really, some come back really fast, others take ages.0

I renewed my passport mid August received new one back within a week. I think it was a couple of days after I received the "processing" notification.0

My son renewed his 3 weeks ago. It came back almost 2 weeks to the day.0

Make sure you check all the details are correct when you receive it.....one of mine had an error, and needed to be cancelled and reissued.0

Another update!
"Your new passport is being sent to the address you gave us.
You should receive it within 2 days.
