Selling used branded tyres?

I've some tyres i am going to look at selling but i don't want to overprice them. Equally i don't want to give them away.
They're winter tyres, Bridgestone is the brand & when i bought them IIRC they were about £110 a tyre.
15"
I know i'm not going to get close to £110 each for them, i'm not expecting that.
The tread on each range are about 6mm.
They are all on steel Vauxhall rims though, 5-stud which i know could be a problem. I don't particularly want to take these to a guy to pay £40 just for him to remove them when 1) they may not sell and 2) i don't know what i should price them at so i may not make much out of it after that £40.
On the one hand it's a problem (if they don't own a Vaux) but on the other hand if they do it could be a bonus and also if having a set of steels around isn't a problem the buyer could look at selling the steel rims on anyway.
I've seen similar priced up at £100 for 4 all the way up to £200 for 2.

This is a no-brainer.
You need to advertise them on a Vauxhall owners forum.
With exact details of size and which model they fit.
I suggest you ask around half price and don't forget to include the price of the wheels in that too.
Pics are a must.
Otherwise you'll be lucky to get £40 for the lot.0 -
This is the perfect time to put them on ebay. A good description is needed - both of the tyre/wheel sizes the cars they will fit. Plenty of photos.
When my wife changed her car, I sold her old winter tyres (on wheels) for about 70% of what I paid. She'd had them on for two seasons/7,000 miles.0 -
Winter tyres should be changed when they get to 4mm, so there isn't much meat left on them, probably just enough for this winter.
If you advertise now, you may be lucky to get £100, sell them as tyres, with free wheels attached, so someone needing different wheels doesn't try and beat you down on price.0 -

I think i've used them for maybe 3 or 4 winters. Usually put them on around November & take them off around March, approx.
A lot of people snorted at the time of me buying them. You don't need them. I did a bit of reading up on them & saw some comparison testing (whether those videos are reliable or not who knows) and made my decision to buy them.
All i do know is that there was 1 time where this guy slammed on in front of me & it was the middle of winter and the roads were icy. My instant thought was i was going in to the back of him. I'd braked in icy conditions in the past and all things combined i thought there was no other outcome. I was shocked how well the car stopped. Maybe it was the tyres? Maybe it wasn't, maybe i'd just misjudged the situation and some standard budget tyres would've stopped just as well? We'll never know but i was well used to the car & the brakes and i didn't expect it to stop so well.If you advertise now, you may be lucky to get £100, sell them as tyres, with free wheels attached, so someone needing different wheesl doesn't try and beat you down on price.0 -

So that's how you describe them, sort of like ...
4x Winter tyres on 15" steel wheels (wheels supplied free) with approx. 6mm tread remaining.
Previously used on a Vauxhall Whatever (20XX model).
Vehicle now sold so these winter tyres no longer required.
(I'm sure you can "tart" up the ad).0 -
the wheel size is likely to be stamped on the inside of the wheel so you can describe them too.0
