Didn't WI this morning but did go to group. As I'm in target range I don't have to weigh every week but don't see why I shouldn't have "me" time the same as usual!
Another Green day for me today (accidentally again!)
B - melon chunks at group
L - KFC veggie rice box using the chicken as HEB1; 4.5 syns
D - butternut squash & red lentil curry/rice
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - not sure but probably split extra milk/cheese
HEB1 - chicken
HEB2 - Ryvita; cheese
Syns - 4.5 in KFC

Sorry to hear you're having a down day kathrynha. Hope you've not strayed too far from your plan. The weather here is beautiful, cold and crisp and bright but I saw big white blobs on the weather map for your neck of the woods.
:T to all the losers since I posted yesterday. Well done!:THave you tried my savoury mince recipe LLS, it's on here and is a big favourite in this house - Top Bloke isn't the biggest stew fan around but is always happy with this as long as I grate the carrot, he hates lumps!
It's a huge favourite in this house too!:D I think the tomato puree and Oxos in it might give it that soupy flavour that lush's DH likes. If I were you lush, I'd make up topgirl's recipe with 5% mince and disguised veg if needed and get your DH to taste it. If he doesn't like it then you can freeze in portions for yourself.p00hsticks wrote: »OH's request we're going off plan to have a chicken curry for dinner (was going to be a veggie stir fry full of good speed, which will have to wait until tomorrow now).
Dinner - chicken curry with rice (made with fresh chicken breast and an old (pre-SW) curry sauce jar from the cupboard that is apparently 17 1/2 syns, so say 9 syns for my portion. Possibly some veggies as a side.
As you're still well within syns for the day then you're not going off plan in the SW sense (and having tomorrow's meal all sorted is a bonus). Syns are there to be used and we all prioritise them to have what we like most. If you want to use them for half a jar of curry sauce then that's fine.It won't be as low on Speed as you might imagine if you look at the ingredients and you could always add in mushrooms or onions or spinach. Another idea is to split it into 3 portions and freeze one for your DH to have another day but as you have plenty of syns to play with that's not essential.
I did a quick weigh and go this morning. I'm calling it STS although the scales showed a pound loss. I've not got my head around it but I think there must have been an error in the recording last week.
I'm happy as although I'm still a pound out of range it's likely now that any residual gain from my holiday is behind me. Denise, I read your advice to missteach. I've got 2 meals out planned before next WI but I'll listen and make sure the other 19 are very much on plan.:)
Todays' EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L: JP with ham, cottage cheese, pickled cabbage, cornichons, jalapenos and spring onionsChicken casserole (onion, carrot, leeks, celery, mushrooms and butter beans) with broccoli, cauli and new potatoes
Syns: cornflour 10 -
Well side effect of the medication means that all the bad food I ate exited my body the quick way, so might I have got away with eating bad
At the hospital again tomorrow so got to hope we don't get snowed in overnight.Zebras rock0 -
Topgirl- can't seem to find the savoury mince recipe on here and haven't got a copy of it. Have really meant to try it so many times but not yet. I always add a beef stockpot, tomato puree and various veggies so may not be that different to your recipe anyway.

evening all, seem to be rather low on actual appetite after breakfast the past few days
today:
breakfast: tea (milk from hea), sweet omelette with quark and strawberries (0.5syn for sweetener)
lunch: 5.5 syn kitkat, ham slices,
tea: group at 7.30 so will take a tub of apple slices and orange slices and a can of pop for after I've been weighed
hair finally got did today. I'm very happy with itjust need to adapt my usual eye make up to suit the darker tones
feeling a bit bloated today
we found out today OH has to go one atwo day course which starts tomorrow and is an overnight stay so littlie and i have tomorrow to ourselves. we're at a friends birthday party (4 year old so lots of running and playing for littlie, i should be ok as the mum does sw) we may see if my dad wants to meet and go to meadowhell for a mooch round and a nosey at the new ikea...probably no different to leeds but always nice for a change of scenery. maybe a carvery for tea somewhere either with my parents if mum finishes work at a decent time or maybe just me and littlie if im feeling brave!
