Hi. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for a PPI refund. I successfully claimed ppi from Opus and recieved their offer of a refund back in September. Their offer letter stated i would be refunded 'as soon as as we recieve your acceptance form'. I duly sent form off and telephoned Opus a few days later to check they had recieved my form. The girl I spoke to confirmed it was recieved by them on 22nd Sept but the refund could take up to 30 days from the date of reciept. 30 days later... no refund. Rang again and was told the refund would be made within 30 days from the date my acceptance form was scanned onto thier system, this being 29th Sept. Still no refund so phoned again, no further forward as chap I spoke to said he wasnt on 'that team' so he didn't know what was happening, my form must have got lost in the post!!! Cant even get to speak to a manager. I feel i am being fobbed off. Am i being unreasonable.

HI, you've almost got my experience with Opus to a "T". My claim has been ongoing since my acceptance in September last. I am still waiting after numerous (dozens) of phone calls, each call eliciting a new bit of info - wait 'till they tell you that 30 days means 30 "working days"! My latest (of at least 4) deadlines is a "guarantee" that payment will be in my bank within 5 to 7 working days - the 7th day being Christmas eve morning. Needless to say, our celebrations are not planned against that possibility. They have tried to tell me that my bank account details were invalid - but the Standard Life manage to pay me a pension payment every month using the same details! I could fill pages with my experiences of this crowd of incompetents but, I shall just "!!!!!! on" until I get there. Make written notes when you phone, ensure that they record the conversation, get a name, speak to a supervisor or even (if they are not in a meeting) that rare beast, a manager.0

This thread is over two years old, by the way, so I doubt "millie56" will be responding and updating...0
