HI,I have just bought a 12mth subscription to PIA ...Private internet access which works great on my Desktop and laptop but would like it to cover my entire household.
I have seen that you can buy VPN routers but they come it at about £200.
Is there a way of a diy type person doing his own Router??

I don't think a BT Homehub 6 can be manipulated to accept a VPN, so that's one answer for you.0

Look on Amazon; I've just seen a cable one for £57.

My solution to a DIY router is pfSense in the VM under ESXi on my R710, but that's not cheaper than the £200 offerings you found and is not for novices.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

I have done this with an Asus RT-AC56U. It was not easy to do but I found guides on the internet, I first had to install a different OS on the router and the one I used was Merlin (I think it is similar to DD-WRT and OpenWRT).
I can now pick which devices use PIA and which don't. Probably been running it for 2 years now and it has crashed twice and on both occasions a reboot got it back up and running.
The PIA help pages are not easy to search but I'm sure I got a lot of information there.0
