Universal Credit Assessment Period

Options
Hi every one just a quick question. Basically i was on universal credit and i got a job only temporary for a few months to cover someone who was off through some sort of illness. And during this i earned too much to get universal credit payment which is obvious but my final payment from them was on the 25th of september for £360 and i called universal credit to tell them that i was no longer working and to sort the details out.

Now i was expecting a payment on the 26th of this month not a full payment as i had earned 360 on the 25th of september but i did not get a payment and when i called them they said my assessment pariod is the 20th of September to the 19th of October and during this period the assesment says i earned just over £900 which is wrong, they said that even though i only earned £360 in this period my old boss had reported my previous earnings for the previous month (that was paid out of the assessment period in the month earlier) on the 20th of september so that had been taken into account and i ended up wit nothing. I asked if this was right and said so even if i got paid £500 in march this year and they only just reported it to hmrc that they payed me in match would this also be taken into the assessment and she said yes. This seems absolutly stupid to me and surely it cant be right so if a old employer relises he did not report one of my eanings even from a year ago and reports it now it will reduce my payment for next month if not fully to £0.

This seems very stupid to me and because of this even though o havnt earned this month i get nothing. :money:
