Hi all
The million Dollar Question...
We have 4 iPhones in our house and other than the kids nicking each other’s and swapping their damaged one for the other child’s! my wife recently lost one and I recently damaged one with the Hoover. So, it’s clear now that I need to buy some more chargers for our iPhone 7’s. So, I’ve seen some priced at £1 in Poundland and then there is the obvious Apple branded ones that cost a small fortune. I’d rather not pay for the Apple ones and bloke down the Pub tells me there are loads of Non Apple chargers that work well. Therefore, I’d be grateful if you guys could tell me where you got your Non Apple Chargers from and if you are satisfied with them (or if they match up to Apple chargers). Please remember that all of our phones are IPhone 7’s.
Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't take the risk of using a non Apple charger, unless it is also a branded one from a reputable store.
There are countless instances of cheap phone chargers exploding or catching fire, let alone the potential for electrical breakdown resulting in a fatal electric shock. Trading standards have removed thousands of dodgy chargers from shops...0 -

This, I bought a cheap one from eBay (other online outlets are available) & by chanceI happened to glance over at my phone, whilst it was charging, & could see smoke coming out of the charging port. Luckily I got to my phone in time & disconnected it before it actually went on fire, but the port needed a clean from the melted bits that had stuck to the charging port.
Buy branded chargers.Dwy galon, un dyhead,
Dwy dafod ond un iaith,
Dwy raff yn cydio’n ddolen,
Dau enaid ond un taith.0 -
I've been fairly happy with Amazon Basics stuff (i.e. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasics-Apple-Certified-Lightning-Cable/dp/B010U3XO3Q), and it's priced pretty well too.0

I have bought several IWANTIT cables from Curry's/PC World, work very well not too pricey,0

When I had an iPhone 4 , belkin chargers were fine .
I also bought a couple from Poundland . However, when started updating the software regularly , the Poundland ones were useless.
I’m on iPhone s e now. Should that go wrong ,I would have to buy an Apple replacement as at least then I know it’d last.annoyingly expensive tho:mad:0 -
You should ideally just get a multi port charger like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/RAVPower-Charging-Friendly-Protections-Simultaneous-Black/
The problem with most cheap cables is they don't give you full charge speed. That's not to say they can't.0 -
I use this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00S0I5XOM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
With these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YGECR0C/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010XWJC44/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
All contained within an older version (without watch holder) of this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/iCozzier%C2%AE-Universal-Multi-device-Organizer-Smartphones-Black/dp/B01GEOK0LY/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1509541487&sr=8-8&keywords=icozzier+stand
I can happily charge 2 iPhones, plus 2 tablets another 2 things if required.0 -
£1 land ones are useless but don't worry about going for branded I always get them on ebay and they last just as long as official0

now when I say that, I'm talking cable only not the plug0

And, if you want to know if your cables are charging at a good rate, you will want something like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NTU18KY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It has been quite useful to have and as helped to find out if various USB sockets or leads are up to the job required.0
