Rescue my car

Has anyone used an alternative car rescue service other than 'rescue my car' that does not leave a single female in trucker parking bays for 5 hours in total when trying to do a 4 hour rescue journey home, and o e that doesn't forget to put the recovery call in so that they are left alone for hours waiting?

They will all aim not to do that. Sometimes, in extraordinary situations, they will all fail to meet that aim.0

so this was extraordinary, even though rescuemycar.com seem to think not.0

Are you implying that something would happen because she was left waiting in the HGV parking area instead of the main carpark? Do you think we're all closet rapists and sex offenders or something? Personally I find that a bloody insult.
Given she was transported on a HGV just where did you think they'd unload the vehicle for a changeover?
Ultimately the drivers of the recovery vehicles she was being transported on are subject to the same drivers hours regulations that any other lorry driver is. They have to take a 45 minute break for every 4.5hrs of driving or a WTD break for every 6hrs work and they cannot drive more than 9hrs in a day. If you are unlucky with the timing of your breakdown and the journey time to take you to your final destination then you may find you are transported with more than one vehicle and that there are delays due to the drivers needing to take a break. It may also come as a surprise that even though you are a lone female you are not the only person needing transportation, nor are you their highest priority as people with kids and disabled people are and they can only move you if they have vehicles available. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
