Replacing boiler time control

Just bought a house and the boiler has an old British Gas EMT2 and WR1 Wireless system for controls.
Could anyone (preferably heating engineers of plumbers) recommend a good replacement for this system (digital timer, thermostat etc.).
I'm confident I could fit them myself, but could do with some pointers on the best and right products to buy.
Thanks in advance.

We have a Glowworm Easicom boiler and when our timer failed in September, we had it replaced with a Nest thermostat. It couldn't be better. We have found that our gas usage has dropped massively over the past few weeks compared to earlier in the year.
Nest thermostats have to be fitted by a professional, and it is possible to buy one from a shop or online with a voucher for fitting included, however we went down the route of buying it through our heating engineer, who fitted it when he serviced the boiler.0 -
You can have any timer you like, a Drayton model will fit directly to your existing back plate.0
