Sainsbury's 1,000 nectar points every £35 spend question

The Sainsbury's credit card deal currently offers 1,000 points (£5) on up to 10 transactions during the first couple of months when £35 or more is spent in Sainsbury's.
I tend to do smaller shops so would be interested to know if anyone can confirm buying a £35 gift card would trigger the points.
Thanks

Usually, the T&Cs for offers like these say that the following purchases are excluded - fuel, gift cards, postage stamps, etc. However, the small print for the page that gives this offer says the following -
"To get your points you'll need to stay within your credit limit and make the minimum payment on your account by the due date. Spend with Argos, Habitat, Telecoms, Travel Money, Sainsbury's Petrol Stations (including non-fuel purchases) and any refunded transactions are excluded."
Going purely by that, it doesn't seem to exclude gift cards. The Sainsbury's credit card deal currently offers 1,000 points (£5) on up to 10 transactions during the first couple of months when £35 or more is spent in Sainsbury's.

I've used these offers to buy gift cards from JS in the past. Always paid, no issues.0
