    We put everything we bought ourselves through the builder and he claimed back any vat payable.

    It was all part of the negotiations before he got the contract and yes it was much easier.

    There was a slight problem though when the coving that was left over(2 full boxes) disappeared one day and no one could explain it.The fitters obviously did not know we had supplied it.

    In hindsight we should have let them know.

    We had to let it go as it was not worth making a big deal out of it with the builder.
