Hi all,
I am getting a range of quotes for moving my bathroom upstairs between £7k and £11k
I live in a Victorian semi detached house in Southall , the current bathroom is a bit of a state and is currently on the back of the kitchen (pretty standard for the era)
My plan is to chop the middle room by a third making a 1.3m by 3m bathroom. The quotes so far have been to cover the following work:
-Build a partition wall for a new bathroom using moisture resistant walls
- Open up another doorway for the remaining 2m by 3m room
-Run cold and hot pipes from the kitchen to the new bathroom
- Fit shower tray, basin , toilet , rail
- Fit window for the back of the bathroom
-Tile bathroom
-Fit 4 spotlights, bifolding shower door and extractor
- Install soil pipe
-Water proof flooring
- Extractor fan installation
What would a reasonable quote be for this work in London?
I got one quote as low as £7k (seems suspiciously low), and another as high as £11-12k
Any other tips on what I should be looking for to pick a builder? (Sorry I've never done anything like this before I don't want to balls it up)
Thank you so much!
