Hoping I can get some advice....
I had an Egg Credit Card many, many years ago. I can't remember the exact dates but I think it was as far back as 1999-2002. I also cannot remember the credit limit.
I've contacted Citibank (now dealing with Egg) and they have confirmed that I did indeed have PPI and have given me the account number. I think that when I applied online at the time, it was either a pre-ticked box or they insisted on it in order to grant me the card in the first place. I know I certainly wouldn't have willingly chosen the PPI..

What step should I take next? Do I request all the details first before attempting to make a complaint? I've seen on the forum here that people go straight in and make a complaint (sometimes successfully) without even having all the info??

Citibank do offer an online questionnaire to make your complaint but many of the questions would lead to me having to choose 'I don't know' as I don't have the info.

Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!

I was in same boat. I tried completing the online form but it seemed to not like some of the responses I was giving so in the end I had to print off the form and post it.

Took about 4-5 weeks and had cheque in hand

I didn't request any further details - just confirmed that I didn't know I had it and that there was several reasons why I felt it was mis-sold.
