    Morning everyone
Just about to go out to buy my Sunday Times and then I'm having Sunday lunch at my mams as my brother is here. Then planning to have a lazy afternoon, as I'm back at work tomorrow.
Was very nice to have an extra hour in bed. though I think it was less confusing years ago when you had to physically change all your clocks. Now I can never remember which devices cleverly change by themselves! I made sure I changed the time on my watch when I went to bed so I knew at least that was correct. When my eldest DD was little, she used to drive me mad by constantly asking ' but what time is it really' on the day after the clocks had changed. It always fascinated her.
Better be moving...hope everyone has a good day
  • Morning all, I know the clocks have changed but I got up at the same time, a bit of a swizz somehow.
I'm off to see a friend soon. We are going to have our Sunday dinner tomorrow as DS is volunteering at a local event.
Washing on the line, I'm not expecting it to dry fully but it should get dry enough to air indoors.
JackieO I am thinking of Frank and your family. If it helps, I have had quite a bit of foot surgery and once got kept in for two nights as I don't react too well to anaesthetic. Your DD may have some pretty uncomfortable days but once her foot starts to heal, the healing can be quite quick. I had to go back to the hospital for re-dressing at first then they let me go to the gp surgery, a lot less waiting about there.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Tru if only you lived near; I'd be only too happy to have Scampi as a guest; I reckon we'd get on just fine.:o
Fwiw, I had all my teeth removed back in the mid 1980's as they were falling to bits. It was done under general anaesthetic in hospital - I had to have part of my jawbone removed also, but that was an extreme circumstance, it should be a lot more straightforward for you.

Mrs MH asked about using the flesh from the large carving pumpkins yesterday; if memory serves, it's perfectly edible, but very bland, so you'll want to add some good flavoursome spices etc.

JackieO GWS wishes to DD; and Safe Journey to Frank.

My tinnitus is driving me nearly mental today; it's so loud I'm surprised that Mr LW can't also hear it!!
Also on top of the horrible phantom smells (often either meat or cigar smoke, neither of which are ever actually in this house), I'm now getting auditory hallucinations - several times I've "heard" the entry phone noise, but it hasn't really been there. It's realistic enough to make me go to the lounge and lift the receiver. :( No idea what that's all about. :( Maybe I'm going completely mad. :(

  • Afternoon, ((((((((((hugs))))))))))) if you need one, Jackie hope you DD is improving and that Frank is being kept comfortable.

Epic fail this morning.......looked at the clock 8.40, so got up, and got the breakfast, took it back to bed and then discovered it was only 8am!! I have one of those clocks that are regulated by a radio signal, it obviously had not worked........

Its a bright but very cold, although the heating is still only on early morning and before we go to bed. They are coming to service the boiler on Friday.

Nothing much spoiling, veg done for supper, lamb marinading in red wine and garlic. OH may go out into the garden after his siesta.

I finished the bag yesterday, never making another one, pictures on my blog. I am now looking at making some fabric bowls t 2 x 10" squares of fabric and 2 x 9" squares of batting and possibly a table runner with just 4 seams.....watch this space.

Roast lamb roasted spuds and courgette, with cauliflower and carrot. May be a pudding too, will see.

Hugs LW my tinnitus has been rough for the last few days, especially at night :( It always seems worse when my sinuses are blocked?
The smells and noises sound horrible though, take care m'dear.

We we're awake with cuppas at 8am, then mushrooms on toast before a brisk 3 mile walk to B&Q and to fuel up niece's car before she drives home. She is in a wheelchair so it's easier if DH does it when she's not at her neighbourhood petrol station. Then we walked home via the allotment to check all was still there after the storms. Checked my fitbit (or tripbit as DH calls it after my staircase escapades :o) and only done 15,473 steps so far! :D

Now settling down with paper & last night's Strictly with a snoozy cat and some knitting...knitting WILL be safe as long as the cat snooze, she likes to play with the ends of the needles & yarn!

I've been trying to finish off this dratted cardigan; I'm at the sewing it together stage, which I hate even more than making button bands.

Trouble is every time I pick it up, Fudge seems to take it as a signal to want a cuddle. :D

  • Greetings my hearties. I am actually feeling a bit bereft already and it's only 3 hours since we finished tackling the last jobs of closing the 'van down for the winter. It was a far easier day than yesterday thanks to having two strong young men helping us! They made short work of the remaining jobs. Whether we get back again in the Spring to our bolthole in the glorious Nidderdale countryside depends on how Mr TA's health holds up in the next few months.

Today was absolutely beautiful after the strong winds of yesterday, Blue sky and sunshine and really quite warm. In fact we ate our lunch al fresco on the big picnic table - no way could we have done that yesterday!

Lots and lots of stuff brought back to find homes for, including all DD's bedding etc too when it's been washed and bagged up. It usually all goes up in our loft till it goes back again in the Spring!

Mr TA is already snoring away beside me with his feet up on the recliner but I am hoping to keep awake and then I might sleep better tonight. (Says she hopefully!)

Have a nice evening folks if you can xx

It's been a cold fresh day here.

I got the washing on the line without realising that the low winter sun cannot reach it! A very light breeze dried off most of them though everything is now on the airer upstairs.

A neighbour called round with his son for half an hour and then I visited another friend in town who is going through a tough time. Now I'm waiting for me tea to cook.

I've done some work :p though not enough.

    Good evening everyone :hello:

You would not believe how many times I have started posts this week only to delete them as they were very moany but I will just update quickly as I want to send hugs to Jackie and TA and all you other lovely people who are going through difficult times.

Becky has been very unwell and I have had to spend a lot of time with her at night as she feels 'unsafe'. The knock on effect unfortunately is that I have got over tired and been quite poorly myself. Phoebe's anxiety has been more pronounced and Steve is stressed and badly lost his temper yesterday with the girls which was horrendous for all of us. We are all under a lot of pressure and I don't know what to do to make things better.

The girls will be back at school next week and Steve will be in work so perhaps we will all have a bit of breathing space. I really need to see my friends and have a coffee and chat with them as well as I am missing them all.

Well, I am off to watch some rubbish on tv and carry on with my knitting. Hope you all have a good night whatever you are doing. Take care xx
