Building studio on top of double garage

I would like to build a studio flat on top of my garage which not directly attached to the house. The garage is on the side of the house at the end of the drive. The garage back wall is shared with the neighbours garage and the roofs slightly interlink. I would like to rent this out to generate an additional income. Would it be possible to get planning permission? Can anyone please advise

I very much doubt it, additional dwelling and all that.0

You could always build a wooden shed in the garden and rent that out too.
I think you should focus your energy elsewhere to try and make extra money.0 -
Why build anything, they have a double garage already. 10 Lithuanians should fit nicely in there, maybe 20 if hot bedding.
Seriously though I very much doubt you would get planning permission and I doubt the foundations are suitable for an extra storey anyway.0
