Paypal - Expanded Use Number Needed?

Hi all

I've just added a new credit card to my PayPal account. I've made the card the primary credit card. However in brackets it states "Expanded Use Number Needed". Yet I can't see where I would initiate this procedure? There is no option there.

i needed this to and it was very frustrating trying to figure out how to do it. Phone paypal and they will tell you what you need to do, i cant remember all the steps but basically it costs you £1 and on your bank statement there will be a 4 digit code beside this £1 transaction and this is your expanded use number. You then enter this when prompted, sorry for being a bit vague but i did it ages ago!!!:T

Just checked my paypal and from memory what you need to do is log on to your account, next to your name should be an "edit profile" option. Click on this and three menus should appear, the middle one is financial information, click on the subheading "credit/debit cards" and it should show your card information, there should be an button there to get your expanded use number. This will then go through the steps above and charge your account, though i think this will be refunded?? the process takes a couple of days for it to appear on your statement, this should be how its done if memory serves me, apologies if i've missed anything...

i done this a while back too, they take £1 from your account and then put it back in to your account, there will be a four or six (cant remember) digit number on your statement this is your expanded user number you then type this in to the appropriate box.

try sending money from your paypal to your bank account,it will soon stop you and tell you how to carry this out i think.
