  • I contacted Santander via secure message to ask about 'downgrading' to their 123 Lite.

They gave me a number & said i had to do it over the phone. Still haven't got round to doing it yet.

You don't. I find that regulars on this sub-board know more about the rules and regulations than many in CS, and in this case you should have followed this sound advice...

Just follow the link to "Upgrade account" when logged into online banking and you should see the option to change to Lite.
  • I have just tried to downgrade my 123 to the Lite version and clicked on the upgrade, then transfer existing account and completed the online form but it keeps saying email address incorrect. I know that I am putting it in right and have tried Internet Explorer and Chrome but still just keep getting the same email incorrect.

I have now had to send a secure message asking them to downgrade and explained the problem on the online form. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
  • Update to my previous message, I got the response back from Santander today saying that you couldn't downgrade online and that you have to phone or visit branch.

Obviously this is incorrect because of the online form, so I have submitted a complaint but because of my email problem I had to ring them and it took 25mins. Awaiting response from complaint and to ensure cashback and interest is applied as due 28th.
  • Update to previous message, I had a phone call from the complaints team and YES you can change online by completing the online transfer form. Why I was having trouble they cannot explain (received nice compensation) but all sorted now and interest and cashback paid today, so day after change.
