    No, dessicant have always been more expensive to run. They do have the advantage though that they tend to be quieter, and work better at lower temperatures.

  • I have a few of these over the years, by far the best is Meaco 20L Low Energy Dehumidifier/Air Purifier.

    Currently extracts around 400ml of water per hour (20C and 65% RH) and only uses around 250-300 watts per hour.

    I had a look at the Ebac range which ownerofawrech had used and have opted for the EBAC 2250E 15L which I have bought for £140. Made in Britain for the UK climate, 210w, 3.5 litre tank and a laundry boost setting.
