Need a ppi reclaim company recommendation

We had ppi on a loan with IGroup a few years ago (have the paperwork) which was arranged through Firstplus/Welcome Finance. Ge Money say responsibility is with Welcome Finance, they say responsibility is with Firstplus who are in administration. I cannot go any further with this on my own so wondered if anyone could recommend a company who could assist. I am well aware they will get a percentage if successful but see no other way of going forward.

Specialise in whay? Putting a stamp on an envelope? Since that's all they do.

Whoever sold you the loan is responsible, not the provider. o if they weren't regulated, there's no way you can complain successfully.Because they will dismiss it.

You are wrong, these companies have a use if you have already tried and failed yourself.

She is asking for assistance having exhausted other avenues. Therefore I have provided the name of a solicitor who may be able to help. 75% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

You are encouraging someone to spend money on a complaint that is dead in the water. 100% of nothing is nothing.

However, if the loan was sold after 2005, they can use the FSCS which is, shock horror!!! totally free. They will, if the complaint is suessful, refund 90% of the PPI but no added compensation.

If it is dead in the water then a no win no fee company isn't going to cost anything moron.

Some legal represention could help when other avenues have been exhausted.

    Classy.

You're on a money saving forum. No one is going to recommend paying a claims company to do something anyone is capable of doing for themselves.

(Had to laugh at referring to a CMC as "legal representation"! :rotfl:)

Here we go, he's a spammer.

I work in this precise field of work so I think I know what I am talking about. A credit card account may still produce blank statements on the banks systems for many years after the original account closure and this is how the closure will be determined in some banks.

Essentially what I am saying is it is definitely worth trying.

In my experience as a case handler I think you're likely to be upheld, especially as the policy doesn't sound suitable or affordable to you. The good thing about complaining to BOS is that they usually have all the statements dating back well before 2002 so you'll get a fair payout if upheld.

Do find my claims advocate their staff calling people morons?

Whoa, some people might think that morons are those who go around recommending legal representation for a simple free of charge process . . .

    Was thinking the same.

    Reported as spam.

I suggest you do some searching on this forum for the charges these 'no win no fee' companies have charged when it was clear the complaint was going to come to nothing

And no, it won't, because PPI isn't a legal issue.

    ....Right back at ya sweetie.
