  • well, I have just got off the phone to Joyce Prashad. She has fully credited my account, and informed Moreton Smith that I do not owe them anything, and to cease all contact with me :)

And to answer the question, all I did was basically state that I closed my account and moved house 300 miles away in July 2006, and yet I was being billed for September 2006. I had not been contacted in any way by Bulldog or C&W for well over a year, until I got the letter, and I didn believe that it was possible that I owed them money, as I had a direct debit set up with them which should have paid anything I owed automatically.
  • I also only only discussed the way the claim had been handled. I had received a response by the very next day saying my account now had a zero balance and they had instructed Moreton Smith not to contact me again. Getting the confirmation in email was more than I ever got from Bulldog.
  • mine wasnt the very next day. I complained on the friday of last week, and received the reply yesterday (thursday). But the main thing is, I got a reply!
  • I received this in the post (Royal Mail) this monring. Is this a scam too?

  • I too have had an email from a company called Moreton Smith on behalf of Masterfile asking for over £2000 for a copyright breach of one image on my website.

My webdesigner thinks it's a scam.

    Can any one help?

    Thanks
