Hello
With regards to electrics the full survey is now been made available.
As advised I will be instructing a registered electrician to test. Any thoughts on what has come back re electrics
The older style fuse box does not incorporate modern circuit protection advices.
Older fittings may require replacement
There is no evidence of supplementary bonding in bathroom
Loft insulation may have been laid over cables and light fittings in loft area
Electrical installation dated in parts with no obvious evidence recent testing0 -
sounds like you do have an old insulation.
Now there are many installations out there without RCD protection it isn't a legal requirement on an old installation, but is most definitely advisable.
RCD protection would also take care of the supplementary bonding issue to.
Most lofts have insulation over the wiring and whilst it will de-rate the cables to a certain degree it should be OK, if it is just thrown over recessed spot lights then it could be more of an issue.
It also says the installation is dated.
If you are concerned then it might well be worth getting a sparks to have a look at it.0
