ZOG Praise

When we are all quick to slate a company, I feel that ZOG should get some well deserved praise.
I am due a DBS renewal, for my voluntary work. Date set for 15 November to fill out a new application. I was struggling for some ID with my address on, that was dated within the last 3 months - internet print outs are not allowed.
I phoned ZOG yesterday, asking if it was possible to have a physical paper copy of my last statement. I was expecting a charge to be added to my account. Not only did they wave any fee, it arrived today.
Unless ZOG decide to charge silly money next June, my gas will not be going anywhere.
If ZOG are on here, would like to say thank you very much.

ssshhhh, lets keep the secret about Zog providing excellent customer service and cheap prices to ourself eh ?0

Normally proof of address can also be your council tax bill issued in the last 12 months (this is documented as such on the Gov.uk site) as those are only issued in March or April but are by default posted to you. You should also have been able to use your driving licence, though only for either address or id - not both.
Good though that you could do it this way via Zog.0 -
Can I find my Council Tax Statement? The answer is no. I am debarred from driving due to epilepsy. ID can be a total pain at times.0

I can't praise Zog enough either, and it would take a huge price increase to move me away from them. I can't wait to see what they offer when they start selling electricity.0

Never spoken to Zog, despite having been with them a couple of years now.
Went with them because they were the cheapest. Renewed with them because they were within a quid or so of being the cheapest.
But now there are more newcomers and they are often beating Zog at their own game (i.e. on price). Come renewal, if the situation remains, I'll be switching :money:
I'd switch now, but there's an early exit fee to consider, and the new challengers don't seem to offer cashback (like Zog don't)0 -

In respect of the DBS make sure you register for the update service - the DBS will then automatically run on and update (for free as you're a volunteer). Saves the hassle of having to renew it each time.
https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-serviceI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
