DWP Text?

Options
Hi

I've recieved a text from DWP today - ' decision. We'll contact you again if we do. Please call us if any of the details you gave us have changed.' Reading it, it doesn't make sense to me.

I get ESA & PIP and I'm not even sure what this relates to. I haven't been able to get through to anyone. Has anyome else received a text like this?

I missed an ESA random assessment recently as never received the letter.

I find it hard dealing with the DWP as it triggers my anxiety. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

The text message is selected manually from a preset list. It's entirely possible that they have sent you the wrong message, or even that they have entered a wrong phone number. Nothing to worry about but you could call them Monday to put your mind at rest.

This lot are that bad and obsessed about targets, they set staff a target whereby they must send so many text messages per month.

ESA assessments are not random. You should always ask after having had an assessment......
what group you have been put in and
what date your next reassessment is due to begin.

Then you will know to expect a ESA50 in "the first 3 weeks of February 2019" so you can make sure you do not forget....then if you do not recieve an ESA50 in the first 3 weeks February 2019...you can phone ESA and ask if your reassessments has started and why you have not received the ESA50.

So you would have been sent recently:
an ESA50 - did you get it?
an ESA50 Reminder letter - did you get it?
A WCA appointment letter and text message - did you get either?
A letter asking you for your reasons why you did not attend the assessment - did you get it?

It is your responsibility to make sure you inform them if you change your phone no. or your address.

The fact they have texted you means they do have your correct mobile number...but have you checked if Medical Services has the wrong number for you? I would phone ESA and ask them to look in MSRS (Medical Services) and check what address all those letters above were sent to, and what mobile number is holding in MSRS.... If either is wrong..ask them not to correct it so that the Decision Maker can see that they are held wrong.

Dunno about the text, but my guess is it was a Decision Maker trying to call you...phone them up and ask if the decision has been made yet....and ask them to check what I said.

This bit of your post concerns me.

As epitome says ESA medical assessments are not random.
    What happened next?
Did the DWP accept your reason for non-attendance?
Was the assessment re-scheduled and did you attend it?
What letters / forms have you had from the DWP about your ESA?
Is your ESA still in payment?

    "Warning
You must go to your assessment. If you don’t go, the DWP will assume that you’re fit for work and stop your claim. If you need to postpone it because you’re not well enough to go, make sure you call before the appointment."
