Parking Eye over 3 months to issue

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help. I received a letter yesterday from Parking Eye from an incident that happened on the 2nd July. I've read a lot about this company but have been unable to find if there is a time limit on them issue the fine to also help with appeal. Over 3 months seems ridiculous to still have receipts etc from then. Any help that someone could provide will Ben greatly appreciated

    Hello. Welcome to the forums.

They have up to six years to chase an alleged debt.

You might be asking if the 'late' notice to keeper means that they cannot hold the keeper liable, and the answer to that question and many others can be found in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky/pinned thread.

Have a read of that thread then please do come back here and ask any questions arising.

And it is not a 'fine'. It's a speculative invoice.

Was a ticket affixed to the car at the time of the incident?

all you needed to do was search "golden ticket" which is in the NEWBIES sticky thread, plus there are dozens of similar threads on here over the last few weeks

I will give you one link where I rewrote the template for them, find the rest yourself please

  • Thank you both for your help, I'm still slightly confused though how can they have 6 years to chase an alleged debt but I also have a golden ticket because it's been over 14 days? Also looked in the newbies thread again & couldn't find anything on either even find golden & was only 2 mentions of it, both around something called POFA 2012 on the back of the latter

the small claims court has been in existence since 1973 and people have 6 years to chase an invoice in england and wales (5 in scotland)

this is an invoice you have received , for an alleged debt

the "golden ticket" does indeed refer to if they have issued said alleged debt under POFA2012 (the law) , OR NOT (the inclusion of the POFA2012 paragraph, or not)

they failed the law (POFA2012) in not getting said invoice to you within 14 days

I linked you to a post you can adapt and use as KEEPER on their website

if you had put the words golden ticket into the drop down forum search box, you would find that it comes up almost daily on here with dozens of recent cases
