ESA payment date vs paid up to.

I've recently ended my ESA claim, my payment is much lower than expected.

Before I ring them up on the warpath lol, I just want to check how many days I should be expecting.

Is the day of your regular payment the day you are paid up to? IE If I'm paid on Fridays, is that payment up to and including the day you are paid?

For some reason in my head from a previous claim some years ago(old income support/UB) , payment was up to and including the date payment was sent, not received, the couple of days it takes to reach your bank account is not included in the payment. IE Friday payments would actually be paid up to and including Wednesday. Is this still the case? Was a long time ago so may well have changed.

It's short either way, just trying to figure out how short before I ring.

Thanks in advance.

    Different benefits pay differently.

ESA will pay you on your "payday" and it will be for the previous 2 weeks.

Your payday is determined by your NI No. If your NI No. ends in 00 - 19 Your payday is a Monday. 20 - 39 Tuesday, and so on.

If you ended your ESA recently you would be paid from the day after your last payment hit your account (your payday) up to the last day of entitlement.

    Yes

If you tell me why (what date and why that date...) you closed it I may be able to comment
