LBC Wright Hassall ZZPS

Hi everyone, I wonder if someone could advise. This morning a letter has arrived at my property addressed to someone who does not live here and has not lived here for a long time. I have no contact details for this person. Any correspondence that arrives addressed to this person I return to sender as 'not at this address'. The letter that arrived this morning was in a torn envelope due to the way the postman has crammed it through the letter box. The letter is a LBC from Wright Hassall apparently instructed by ZZPS on behalf of CP Plus. The letter is threatening court action. As the person does not live here what action do I take? I do not want any CCJ issued for my address and I cannot pass the letter for the correct person to deal with it as I do not have any contact details at all. If I contact Wright Hassall and inform them what happens if they do not believe me and continue to threaten court action. I am so worried as the letter states they can issue a warrant of control for bailiffs to recover this debt. Please can someone advise.

As long as this is nothing to do with you, you have nothing to fear

Write to Hassall telling them so and enclose a utility bill
to confirm who you are and to cease sending further letters.
Request confirmation that they have received your letter/email

As usual this sounds like a fake Tim Hawker debt collector letter
and threatening you with bailiffs before it has gone to court
is a lie and menacing. The courts don't like liars

Your second job is to complain to Trading Standards about this
letter and ask them to investigate because you will be just
one of thousands who are sent these scam letters
