Endowment mortgage

Hi,
I had an endowment mortgage which began in 1990 which ended in 1997. I have attempted to make a claim against Lloyd’s Bank for this but, I’ve been told without the original account number I’m unable too.
Any ideas on how I can get the accounts numbers?

Send a Subject Access Request (SAR) letter to see if there are any records left of this twenty year old finance. It will cost you a non-refundable £10.

On what basis do you propose to complain?

Do you mean it didn't pay out? Wouldn't you have used the money to pay off the mortgage?

I sold the property which paid off the mortgage...the endowment policy would never of cover the initial loan.

But did you get money from the endowment? Or are you saying you forgot to cash it in?

Underperformance is not a reason not to cash it in.

Yes I cashed it in after the sale of the property... but I’ve been told as it was sold on the basis it would cover the mortgage, and discovering later it would not of tgen I could make a claim?
