Coming out of lurkdom to send virtual hugs to Jackie O and all her family x0
-
Afternoon all.
Last day of DGC's breakfast and school run :j. They were no trouble apart from eating me out of house and home, but if school could start about 11am that would be great. I'm not a morning person and I do a good impersonation of a Zombie. Only DGD to collect later as her brother is going to tea with his friend.
We watched DGD autumn concert yesterday and I won first prize in the raffle ! That's only the 2nd time I have won anything in 5 years of school raffles. I had the choice of a vegetable or fruit hamper, so I chose fruit. There was so much in there that I shared it with my Dad and DD, who had somehow invited herself to tea, along with Jasper pup :rotfl:. I'm sure that dog is a Newfoundland / Poodle cross and not a Cavapoo as he's massive and he's only 6mths old . He also does a good impersonation as a hoover.
The weather here is quite nice and I wish I had done some washing, I'm sure it would have dried outside. However instead we have been trawling the shops for Christmas stocking fillers and small presents for a Halloween party, as apparently I'm hosting it again. I must be soft in the head :rotfl:.
Tru shall I bring my sleeping bag and my pillow for the sleepover ? This will be my first sleepover, ever ! Can I bring DD too as she can do everyone's nails. She has all the kit and is really good.
RedRuby I think we may need to hire a charabanc to go to Tru's spa :rotfl:.
Righty ho, I'm going to have a cuppa before sorting out the stuff we bought this morning.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day and sending virtual hugs to anyone who is in need of one.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Hello, I hope no one minds if I join back in. Don't know if anyone remembers me!
Old style wagon has disappeared so I'm chasing it to get back on it.
Hope your daughter is ok Jackie x
I'm going to make some fairy cakes for the children. Can't do much as it's half term. My youngest is autistic & quite clingy. He also hates the Hoover. His school. Have added an extra week so he's also off next week. He doesn't like leaving the house so it saves me money as I can't get out to spend!
Best wishes all round

Afternoon all
I remember you Mrs Mortenharket. Welcome back!
Lovely sunny day here. Two loads of washing out but needed to be finished off inside today. I find radiator airers quite useful and I can hang tops from the pine frame surrounding the opening between dining room and kitchen..
We finished last night's sausage casserole for lunch. It was yummy. DH needs soft food still. Tonight's tea will be fish, mashed potato and mushy peas.
Had a nice nap this afternoon as I had a bad night last night.
Well have a good evening folks.

 to Mrs MH I remember you!
Been on an adventure today with 9yo niece and her parents... we got 2 buses to Fleetwood Freeport then a tram back to town and bus home...niece devoured a tin of spaghetti hoops and 2 rounds of toast before I dropped them off in town for an early-doors light show. When they home back we will have h/m sausages and mash with onion gravy and some wine
We're off to the footie tomorrow before meeting another niece for dinner (this one's 28yo!). I think Sunday will be spent on the sofa!
Hope Jackie's family stay comfortable, and that everyone has a relaxing weekend.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Welcome back Mrs MH! Thinking of JACKIE with all her poorlies.
After a lovely but tiring day with the DGDs I was pleased to see DD when she came to pick them up after work! I know what you mean NANNNYWINDOW about them eating you out of house and home - I don't know where my lot put it! Middle DGD (9) could eat for England and is like a whippet!
It's been a glorious day with wall to wall sunshine and it was lovely to get some bedding dried outdoors. By heck though it started to feel quite chilly when the sun went down.
I am shortly going to make up our picnic box for our trip over to the caravan tomorrow - can't do with going hungry! Tomorrow is earmarked for cramming as much stuff as we can from the awning into the 'van. Chairs, table, tv & cabinet, mw, halogen oven, slow cooker, toys, bikes etc etc. I have it down to a fine art now and everything has its place, Then Sunday DS and DD's bf are going over with us to take the awning down, cover the flooring and put the cover on the van for its winter sleep.
I am hoping I have a better sleep than last night. I have been rubbing Deep Heat into my arm all day and the house stinks of it! It's kill or cure with it now - all out war in fact.
Have a nice evening folks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Hello MrsMH :hello:
TA My DGS eats a couple of large chocolate croissants or pain au chocolate while he waits for his cooked breakfast . He's already nearly as tall as me and thin too and he's only just 8. Even DGD has started eating well in stead of picking at her food. I think they have developed hollow leg disease :rotfl:.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Fingers crossed and positive vibes for your daughter.
MrsMTH
Nice to see you back.
Youngest dd has been home since yesterday and had a friend over last night so had a nice morning with them. Made a large lasagne this afternoon which we had for tea and three portions have been frozen in lidded containers.
Youngest dd gave me a talk about the state of my bedroom which has become a dumping ground so she helped me clear up and sort it out. It now looks much better and I am able to find things and a scented candle which I got for my birthday has been lit and makes it smell lovely. New bedding is on the bed and old bedding is now in the machine ready to be hung outside tomorrow.
Looks as if there will be six of us for Sunday lunch so will go shopping for beef, veg, potatoes etc tomorrow and use my nice fancy pot for the beef.
DD's boyfriend arrives after nine so keeping an eye out for the car.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
