Smart parking overstayed

Casmoriarty
The driver parked at Harlow Water Gardens smart parking and assumed it was pay on exit as it said to pay "on route" whatever that means. When paying on exit I read the receipt and it stated that the two hours I had just paid for started now, so I probably should have paid on entry. When we got back to the car there was no ticket on the windscreen but I know that they use sensors and cameras etc. Do you reckon we've just been really lucky or should they be expecting one in the post?

edit the above to what THE DRIVER did
expect an NTK in the post and come back if and when it arrives
in the meantime , read post #1 of the newbies sticky thread0 -
Casmoriarty, you read and thanked Redx's post, but still decided not to edit your post?0

I'm sorry to say that your original post still need slight tweeking.
Can I suggest your second sentence should look something like:When paying on exit the driver read the receipt and it stated that the two hours he had just paid for started now, so he probably should have paid on entry. It really is important that the driver's identity is not revealed.
This post, linked from post #1 of the NEWBIES thread, explains in more detail why one should not identify the driver:

Forgive me, but this really isn't me being petty.
The parking companies frequently trawl forums like this just waiting for someone to trip themselves up.
We're just trying to reduce that risk.0
