Hello, I am hoping someone might be able to help me here.
I parked on private ground for less than 5 mins I got a ticket from CPM ltd which I threw away, nothing heard then today a letter from County Court Business Centre saying I owe £242.16 for "breaching terms of parking on private land"
How do i proceed? This company obviously wish to take me to court I thought that these people almost never go to court?!
I would appreciate any help or advice on what to do next.
Many thanks in advance,
Nick

You should ask a mod to move this to the Parking Tickets sub-forum where you will be able to read the Newbie stickies which give valuable insight and advice, once you have taken that on board, you will then receive help from the knowledgeable chaps and chapesses who inhabit that forum.
If you send a PM to either Crabman, savvy, or soolin they will move it for you.0 -
Yup - Start by carefully reading the Newbis Sticky in the Parking Tickets Forum - that will bring you properly up to date and outline your remaining options.
Also get this thread moved-over and ask any further questions in it.
Ignoring stopped being an option in many cases in England and Wales some years ago and PPCs are a lot more litigious than they used to be.0 -
