Will expected change in interest rates affect ISAs

it is time for me and my partner to move our ISAs as the introductory rate is ending.

Should we move now and get just over 1.5% fixed for I year or is it worth waiting till the expected interest rate rise to see if we can get a slightly better rate?

Interest rate change is not guaranteed and also it isn't guaranteed to have any effect in the short-term on interest rates for both savings and ISAs. Indeed its possible it has no effect at all.

Fixed rates already factor in the perceived likelihood of rate rises or falls over the 1 year (or whatever) period. As it's generally regarded as a racing certainty that base rate will go up slightly next month, if it does it's very unlikely to have any significant effect on fixed savings rates by itself.
